We stopped for dinner at Round Table Pizza. I had never had it--it was quite yummy. Mostly, it was fun to watch Edgar FREAK OUT when he got to "play" the video games. He was so excited. He drove a car in a virtual racer game and played some Pac Man and Asteroids.
“It is as though the poem, through its exuberance, awakened new depths in us. […] And this is also true of a simple experience of reading. The image offered us by reading the poem now becomes really our own. It takes root in us. It has been given us by another, but we begin to have the impression that we could have created it…[the image] becomes a new being…by making us what it expresses. […] Here expression creates being” (Bachelard).

8 Years
A little more hair...
A little less tan.
A few more guitars...
A lot less time to play them.
Same tiny (but happy) apartment...
one more person living there.
In all, I think it has been a fantastic 8 years. Alex: I ADORE YOU! Thanks for being such a great husband, for being my best friend, for being a fun bandmate, for being a fantastic father to our son, and for still being my consort after this many years.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!
