2 Months

Edgar turned 2 months old last Saturday! It's amazing how much can change in 2 months! Edgar is SO much happier now than he was even 2 weeks ago. He spends a lot of time "talking" to anyone who will smile and listen. He held his first rattle this week and managed to get it into his mouth...he was pretty proud of himself. He had his first shots this week and did really well! He also took his first shower (with his grandma) and loved it! Then he took his second shower--also with his grandma who let water run down his face, and he hated it! It's tough being a baby.

We attended two graduations last weekend. Our nephews Elias and Michael both graduated from high school--and both were valedictorians! Way to go guys! Here is Edgar (or "Gar" as Michael calls him) with Michael in his money lei.

Both graduations were outdoors--which was actually really nice because all of the outdoor sounds more or less drowned out Edgar's cries. Everyone took a turn holding him--even his Grandpa Mick (the other Edgar Alexander). This is a rare occasion as Mick claims that he doesn't like babies and doesn't want anything to do with them "until they can throw rocks." But, we know better. He's pretty smitten with Edgar just like the rest of us (=

Our pinochle nights with Mick and Marva have turned into 3-handed pinochle while I nurse Edge or Grandma Carmichael rocks him. Yup. He is totally cramping our style. (Can you call it "style" when your social life consists of playing cards with your in-laws? That has nothing to do with Edgar--that's always been our main social events!)

(Don't worry people...she looks a little scary, but she really is trying to play with the baby--not eat him). Daddy and Edge on a car ride.
Momma and Edge napping.
So, 2 months later, we still really like him. Actually, I think I like him more. Even though he is screaming his head off at his dad in the other room right now. Sounds like it is time for a mommy rescue.

It is so fun to see all of the pictures and hear about the experiences you are having as a new mommy. Sounds like you are loving it. It can be really hard at times, especially when you are so exhausted...but it is all worth it.

Don't feel too bad...my social life consists of my family or of yours. Lol.

Maybe he's getting over his terrible two's now, so when he's actually two he won't have any tantrums! :)
