“It is as though the poem, through its exuberance, awakened new depths in us. […] And this is also true of a simple experience of reading. The image offered us by reading the poem now becomes really our own. It takes root in us. It has been given us by another, but we begin to have the impression that we could have created it…[the image] becomes a new being…by making us what it expresses. […] Here expression creates being” (Bachelard).

Not sure if I really want a picture of my bare belly on the internets...but if I don't post it, I know Alex will.
This is the result of allowing Alex to attack me with a sharpie (=
Sorry for the lack of updates lately. Life is SO BUSY! I'll update soon. But...not right now.
I love your tummy. Alex is sure one of a kind. I hope you find time to update soon now that I actually check your blog regularly. I can't wait to see you soon!
This is fun - you should leave it on for the birth, you know, to help the doctors and nurses out a little. Or at least to remind you that you are a mama and not just a big swollen blob of hugeness (which was my experience!) Love ya!
